Dorset Cruises are joining forces with award-winning Southern African restaurant, Zim Braai, to bring you the first ever, sun down event on the National Trust’s Brownsea Island.
Braai, for those of you who don’t know, is the Afrikaans for barbecue and it is a social custom “to Braai” in Southern Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia.
Zim Braai, the latest concept from Andrew Lennox, local entrepreneur & restaurant owner, combines the delight of alfresco summer dining with authentic Southern African recipes all wrapped up in a soulful and enchanting atmosphere.
With a 6pm or 7pm departure option from Poole Quay, guests will be welcomed aboard Dorset Queen to a glass of prosecco before we take a luxury 40 minute cruise around the back of Poole’s five islands.
We will dock at Brownsea Island Quay and then lead guests to an exclusive garden party in the cafe gardens, overlooking the waters edge & the Sandbanks peninsula.
Take in the panoramic views, soak up the music, enjoy South African wines and beers and most importantly unlimited nourishment from the open flame of the Braai.
We will take a 30 minute return trip to Poole quay at 10.30pm, but it is possible to pre-book earlier crossings to Sandbanks.
This is an extra exclusive, one- off event, the very first of it’s kind & event tickets are going to sell out fast! Book now to avoid disappointment.
