Dorset Cruises have teamed up with world famous Moët & Chandon to offer you this opportunity to cruise over the Oyster beds of Poole Harbour’s Balls Lake and discover the journey our local oysters take, from seed to delicacy.
You will be welcomed aboard at 1:50pm to a glass of chilled Moët Impérial Brut, ready for a 2pm departure.
After leaving Poole Quay, we will take a leisurely cruise up North Channel, towards Sandbanks, whilst you can enjoy unlimited Dorset Oysters, accompanied by a Champagne Masterclass including Moët Impérial Rosé, Nectar and Grand Vintage.
After passing Brownsea Castle and coming down Wytch Channel on Brownsea’s North Shore, we will cruise past the old Sandbank’s Chain Ferry, today used as an Oyster Sorting Station.
Here local Oyster Farmer, Robert Milton will begin his story on how he runs and operates the largest Oyster Farm in the UK.
We will then take a exclusive cruise over his Oyster Beds (currently home to around 4 million Rock Oysters), where he will begin to drag live Oysters aboard to showcase the vast array of shapes and sizes.
After our Oyster Masterclass, Dorset Queen will cruise around the back of Poole’s five island and (calm winds allowing), out the Jurassic Coast and Old Harry’s Rock.
If four glasses of bubbly hasn’t yet quenched your thirst, our fully stocked bar is open throughout the cruise, should you wish to purchase any other drinks.
